iPad extra credit! Play around with the new V-Cell app to earn back 40% on two Friday quiz grades! You will need to schedule this for before or after school or during eagle time. You must complete the app activities in one sitting. They take about 30 min each. This is a first come first serve opportunity.

Just came across this very well done video series for AP biology on YouTube. Check it out and be sure to watch the videos on topics we have covered so far before your next exam. This will be a very good supplement to reading the text and reviewing material covered in class. I also added a homework set for chapter 7. This will not be graded but will help you study for the next exam.

Check the lectures section for a study guide. I will add more to this tomorrow. It gets us up to todays class in terms of the topics covered. STUDY STUDY STUDY. Also, remember I am staying after school on Wed. for extra study time. I will show some helpful videos and discuss key concepts. This is optional and open to anyone who wants a little extra study time.
First lecture for chapter 2 posted to lectures section. Don't forget quiz tomorrow that will cover any material in covered in lecture today. Only stuff in the lecture slides and what we discussed in class will be on the quiz. Five questions. Here is a sample question so you have an idea of the format.
Diagrams of electron clouds are more useful than Lewis Dot structures in that they...
a. allow you to clearly visualize how many electrons are in each orbital.
b. make it easier to determine the overall net charge of the electron.
c. are a more accurate representation of the position of neutrons relative to the position of protons in the nucleus.
d. represent the statistical probability that an electron will be in a particular position around the nucleus at any given moment.
e. Both b and d are correct.
